03/03/2007: "Bliss"

music: MUSE
mood: Perky

Greetings faithful readers. Life proves to be pretty phenomenal as of late. My love arrived and despite the theatre and work schedule being a bear, I've had a lovely week thus far. Highlights today included a nice lunch at the brand spanking new Chili's, a mango margarita, a wonderful strol through the petsmart where kitties for adoption purred, lots of prtty fish got admired, and several fluffly puppy dogs roamed the aisles and got attacked by a certain redhead who is certainly fur deprived. The it was to wander Target and Cost Plus for Apartment bits and pieces. Back in time for me to do my reporting and for Hamish to be home to receive his couches that he bought from what I have always thought to be front for the mafia. You know the kind of store that's like a time warp and three mobsters are always hanging out smoking and look surprised if you mention you want to buy furniture. Great deal though, and soon there will be proper DVD viewing. WOOT.

Saw a cute play called HONK last night. Musical version of the ugly duckling. The kids in it were cute (some of which I had taught and gave me lovely big hugs after the show) and other than some sour orchestra note, it was a great silly no brain treat for a Friday night. Caught up briefly afterwards with a bunch of friends which is always nice. I am blessed with kind, amusing and intelligent as well as a diverse groups of friends.

Cinequet filmfestival is in full swing and Geek Towers ( Hamish's) is less than 2 blocks from the cinema showing many of the films. If we are lucky we will grab one with Co-worker Ron and his girlfriend tomorrow on urban explorers.

The weather is heavenly today, my jeep is all warm and happy as am I. The Illusionist however, over rated. Boo and Hiss. Pity.

Anyway, over and out from cloud nine and a half.

Your choice in movies is slipping again! How could you NOT like the illusionist! We saw the Prestige and thought that was WAY overrated and not nearly at cinemagraphically beautiful or skillful!

Glad you are having fun at Geek Towers even if he does choose to buy from mobsters! razz
