Well it's all maple leaves this week. Rockstar conclude and proved there IS a reality TV show god. I sat watching all twisted in knots ready to be upset that Toby ( Annoying Aussie Billy Idol Impersonater) or Dilana (Bitchy Goth Drama queen) would win and was surprised (As was justin when I screamed) that they chose Lukas Rossi, Laid back, punk Canadian. Oh yeah. He's been so solid and greatl He does a bit of a mick jagger strut but his voice is great his style very diverse and I think he will be great. My favorite is, he's is so down to earth. When they announced his name, no histrionics at all. It was Killer. He sang two Super Nova songs and an acoustic version of his original which I quite liked. They will do well. Until next summer then.
Saw a candian independent film called Phil the Alien. Boy it was odd. Good, but very odd. Alcoholic alien in the back country woods kind of plot...I don't think I had enough to drink while watching this film, but I can certainly give it kudos for being bizarre and entertaining. 3 RRD's
Also saw Benchwarmers. I do dig David Spade. It got a bit old, and the bathroom humor was pretty crude at times, but I laughed out loud several times. Jon Lovitz's house in the movie is awesome. 3 RRD's. I was a bit weirded out by rob Schneider acting the straight man the whole way through. Uhmmm...okay...oscar? Not.
I know I will get crucified here by at least one person, but I tried watching Say Anything last night. I've always liked John Cusack and Joan but this movie was lame. It's no better off dead, it's no pretty in pink even. I'm firing this movie. I got over an hour into it and gave up. No witty dialouge, nothing. I won't give it a cruise/keanu but I will give it 1 RRD.
And speaking of non sequitors... The free upgrade of my phone finally came. Let's start a pool to see how long this one lasts. It has pretty lights, a camera, mp3 player, voice recorder and all sorts of fun stuff which I'm sure Iwon't even get to use before it commits phonacide. I pray daily to the phone gods.
