09/23/2005: "Irony, Voodoo and Bracing for the Cain"

music: AC/DC
mood: Friday. Need I say More.

As we enter the weekend, and a HUGE time crunch for work, theatre and life in General I have been trying to keep posted with the reality that surrounds me. Dad's family in Houston seems to be fine so far but are bracing themselves for hint of Weather. Kartrina, has of course raised awareness but also, of course as Americans are wont to do, created this media, mass frenzy and caused total OVER reaction to Lovely Rita. Gotta love us. I came across the next song for Alanis Morisette to sing about Irony. Perhaps this time she can use the term properly...

In other news, you gotta think, all the people who left Louisiana to get away from Katrina (Boy is THAT name ruined for life) to go to safe old Texas, are probably screwed permenantly now emotionally as it is following them. I imagine the post stress syndrome is at an all time high. I found THIS areticle which has DICOVERY CHANNEL SERIES written all over it.

I wonder if the hurricane spirits have anything to do with my oil light which somehow refused to go off for a bout 60 mile when I got my oil changed, and then mysteriously decided to dissappear. I don't even WANT to know. If my jeep is haunted, it would be almost as bad as it being broken. Then again, maybe not.

Busy weekend ahead of motoring about, stay dry and safe people!
