Oh so many great things have happened this week and it has again zoooooooooomed by with hardly a moment to write. A private Rocket made it's first launch and land as part of the X prize contest, Earthquakes and volcanic activity have made headlines ( I very much felt the Earthquake, it was during the shake that I looked out the window to see if the birds were flying around and if I was dizzy or in a quake that I realized they had in fact cleaned the windows of my building and I could SEE outside) and I had a lengthy conversation with the playwright that adapted the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe that I am directing which helped me sort out some issues and problems I have been having with the show.
And speaking of LWW last nights rehearsal was surreal..we are supposed to have a run through of the Show on Saturday and due to scheduling difficulities and family emergencies we have yet to have a rehearsal where everyone that is supposed to is there. LAst night we had a little girl throw up, 4 peple missing for no reason, a different little girl cry becuase Chris was being scary as Fenris Ulf and yet another little girl cry becuase we were done early and her parents weren't there yet. Moral of the story, reducuction of the number or scary men, or little girls will reduce the number of times rehearsal is needed to stop for kleenx. I was just winging it, which I hate to do but have no choice to when key pieces of the puzzle go missing or crying.
Hero of the week....Brette Greenwood who celebrated a Birthday yesterday which I NEARLY forgot...I tecnhically got a birthday e card in before midnight my time though it was officialy over in Chicago.
Loser of the Week: Meetings. Just interruptions these days. Sigh.
Loose ends: I heard cops in the bagel shop today complaining about the construction, good thing I'm not the only one that is done with crappy roads being rebuilt....crappily. And yes Crappily is a word.
My neice is coming to visit next week.
I finally saw Daniel Day Lewis in Gangs of NEw YOrk. What a STUD! he was so flawless. I don't even like him. Leo and Cameron should just sit and look pretty and not try to talk but THe BUTCHER was just amazing. So should have won the oscar.
Jeiwsh and Arab Film festival running this month down town but I imagine I will not get to see the films. IMAX film festival is this weekend and I KNOW I won't get to see that.
My Car ( The car formerly known as my boyfriend, and then not, and then my boyfriend again) loan went below $3000 this month...He's almost all mine!!!!
Went to my first ARTS COUNCIL Fundraiser...blog to itself this weekend for sure.
I think that does it...back to the grind stone...Have a good one. If you have any suggestions for future blogs, by all means... I am your slave....
