Hard at work on a Report I should've handed in ages ago
[and which is taking me ages to tranlate into comprehensible English]
there is a tiny, polite rapping at my door.
Now, I hardly ever answer the door -
it's usually Mormons that somebody has let into the building as a joke…
but the knocking was so tiny & polite that I thought I should.

I must admit, I was scared!
"Trick or Treat?" they enquire.
Ah, now I understand!
"Fuck me, Halloween - that’s an American tradition" I blurt out
and am instantly embarrassed.
I rassleup 2 cans of softdrink
and the remaining half of the liquer coffee fudge I bought yesterday.
I tell them to share
and tell them they scared me.
Its true!
