01/24/2005: "Omega Man"
Beloved Parishioners,
we are depressed.
After a blissful three weeks of Holy-days
we are back in Church.
It was never going to be easy
BUT
it appears that
all of our Good Works
have gone unappreciated;
it is as if we were never there…
& there'll be more and MORE of this SHIT
tomorrow,
next week,
for the rest of the year…
we are depressed.
However, there is Hope -
we heard on the Radiola that
the omega-3 fatty acids contained in fish oils (derived from phytoplankton)
videlecit DHA & EPA
are proven to counter depression
(as is exercise)
Thus we sallied forth
to the non-discount supermarket
and bought the largest bottle they had.
We ended up walking around the village for an hour
& going to three different stores.
This, in itself, may have helped
because we don't feel nearly as FUCKING PISSED OFF
as we did in the last few days…
We would be most grateful
for your prayers…

Hmmm, I wonder then, if it is any coincedence that the humble Cannabis sativa plant thrives best when fertalized with Fish Oil? And, another discovery I made recently is that Humulus lupulus (Hops) is also of the
Cannabaceae family. Interesting stuff!
I took cod liver oil capsuals for a while, they are supposed to be fantastic for any joint related problems, but I couldn'y handle the gross fishy-burp that would follow an hour later ![]()
I have it easy I guess. When I get depressed, I just let the other guy take over, and he never gets depressed, as long as he's kept busy. I guess my only advice is - don't let the foibles of the human condition depress you! All those people that don;t appreciate you at work are mere cardboard cutouts to give the impression of depth to the whole story...
