02/15/2005: "Diary of a Rockstar - 15-Feb-05"

Another busy day. The contractors were finishing up a few details on the bathroom remodel, and there are just one or two things to finish tomorrow, and we're all done. Total price including inspections and so on (and the excess I spent on "funky" light fittings and shower fixtures) was under seven grand, not bad at all.

OK, thats not really very Rockstar-ish. So, I also went to my Personal Maxillofacial Specialist (OK, Dentist in real terms), for a cleaning, so my smile will be all sparkly for Saturday. Then, I did my workout routine (and hit 8:17, still on target), and practiced a few songs in the evening.

Also Rockstar-ish, I guess, is the fact that I got an email from the girl I've been seeing, telling me its time to call it quits. I appreciated her honesty, and I guess I both understand, and in a way agree with her. Still, it has put me in a strange frame of mind. Or maybe it's the reading I've been doing on the strange world of Michael Hutchense, his relationship with Paula Yates, and the circumstances of his (and her) death. All very odd. I guess that any journey into the world of INXS is going to run into that issue. I'm hoping that Rockstar will acknowledge the sadness of the events, but not dwell on them...

Oh, so my offer to all of you out there - if you ever feel so low that you don't know what to do - then just call me, 24 hours a day. I probably won't know the right thing to say, but I promise I'll give it a shot!

Rock-on!
