04/15/2004: "The Scottish Play...."
For some strange reason lost in the mists of time, it is considered bad luck to mention the play "Macbeth" in a theatre - it must be refered to as the Scottish play. Now that is fine in General, but when you are actually in Macbeth, it makes things a little tricky! So, we have been calling the play "Macbeth" since day one, and it has brought us no bad luck whatsoever. Well, the guy playing King Duncan almost got bitten by a rattlesnake during rehearsal, but I'm sure that happens all the time...
So, tomorrow night is opening night! Come see us at City Lights Theatre Company, for what promises to be, perhaps, the best version of Macbeth you will ever see....

By the way, I play the Drunken Porter - some may say its not much of a stretch for me, but hey - I get to make dick-jokes on stage during a serious play!

You did well. A decent production of a play that can be done SO many ways. A solid performance. I love the look too, crazy hair and a maroon ski cap....I think everyone will be wearing their hair that way in the future....
Go see it if you have a chance, not just for chris but becuase the staging is clever and the witches rock and renegade is a great company that needs an audience....
